Today was Kawena's first day hanging out with us while his parents went to work.
We tried to make it fun for him.
We took him shopping, driving in the car, then home for some lunch and play time, and then a nap on Grandma's quilt. What a day.

Today she pushed a chair across the room.
She was very pleased with herself.

Today was the 92nd Street Y street fair. They had pony rides, but Hana chose the big white horse.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

Today Hana went to her first day of preschool. The kids picked out their cubbies, played with toys, had snack, listened to a story and went home.

Hana's school schedule

Hana is starting preschool at Ramaz.

September 4.... uku check for the whole school
September 5 .... first day for nursery kids, one hour in small groups
September 6... two hours in full classes
September 7... three hours
September 10... first full day, 9am to 2pm.

6 months old

Dassi is now 6 months old.
She is 2 foot 2 inches tall and weighs 16 pounds and 13 ounces.
She crawls all over the house and is beginning to pull her self up to a standing position.
She likes to eat pears, and butternut squash, paper and small things she finds on the floor and any other thing she can get her hands on. Including, toys, Mommy's hair, the toy box, the seat belt on her stroller, the floor, Daddy's leather belt, etc.
She likes to go to bed at 7pm and wake up at 6am making a huge racket so that everyone in the house wakes up too. She then demands to eat, then plays until 8am when she is so exhausted she must nap until 11 am. When she wakes up she plays more, eats more, naps again, eats again, has a bath, eats more and then back in bed for another restful 11 hours of sleep.
